The Cottage Grove Triad
Triad is a program that promotes crime prevention and safety for older adults and the entire community. It is coordinated locally by Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Dane County.
Triad was founded in 1988 at the national level by the National Sheriffs' Association, the International Association of Chiefs of Police and the American Association of Retired Persons (now known as AARP).
Dane County Triad, a member of Triad of Wisconsin, was formed in 1997. RSVP of Dane County, Dane County Sheriff's Department and the Chiefs of Police are the 3 agencies forming Dane County Triad.
The Cottage Grove Triad started in 2004 with a small group of volunteers, including the Cottage Grove Police Chief, the Dane County Sheriff's Department Community Deputy and RSVP of Dane County. The Cottage Grove Triad Committee has grown and now includes several senior volunteers representing organizations or themselves and business representatives of all ages. What is Triad?
